The Italian Stone Theatre is ready to host a series of exhibitions link to the theme “Water and Stone”. Grassi Pietre and A.c.M.e. studio will present the new installation “Pietra e Acqua”. The event will take place during Marmomac 2018, 26th – 29th September in Verona.
The installation, named “Pietra e Acqua” (Stone and Water), is a cliff of stone emerging from water. The stone stands monumentally in shape of prismatic stems with vertical movement till the height of 5mt. The facetings on the surface creates the “mirrored tower” in a multiplication of images.
“The Vicenza Stone finds in the water the original element – says Moreno Zurlo of A.c.M.e studio– shells, corals and algae run 40 million years ago from the seaside to the mountain. The particular texture of Pietra di Vicenza reminds this run. Now, with this new installation, the ancient marine residents mirror themselves in the water again.”
